From Newsroom to Coaching Studio
Born in South Korea and raised in the United States, I've spent my entire career helping people find their voice. For over 25 years as a journalist and co-anchor for 6abc's consumer investigative news, I've mastered the art of clear, compelling communication under the most intense pressure.
My work has earned multiple Emmy Awards and national recognition, but what drives me isn't accolades—it's the impact of authentic storytelling. Through my consumer investigations, I've held powerful entities accountable and helped countless viewers navigate complex issues. This same rigor and empathy now fuel my coaching practice.
In 2018, I created #ThisIsAmerica, a documentary series exploring identity, belonging, and the Asian-American experience. This project crystallized my mission: to foster empathy and understanding by empowering diverse voices. The series earned national acclaim and reinforced my belief that everyone has a powerful story—they just need the tools to tell it.
My TEDx talk on representation and courage reached hundreds of thousands, but I witnessed something troubling: brilliant leaders paralyzed by imposter syndrome, diverse voices silenced by fear, and game-changing ideas lost to poor delivery. That's when I knew my next chapter.
Today, I combine broadcast journalism techniques with cutting-edge coaching to help executives, founders, and changemakers command any room—virtual or physical, boardroom or broadcast.
